On the 15th of September Sheila came into our school to teach us art for 8 weeks.
On our first day with Sheila we made sketchbooks and we also did a bit of ink printing it was sketchy
Next week on monday we went on a nature walk around the school and we made inks.
Week 3 we went down to the Kings Mill (one of the local sights here in kells in
kilkenny) with color cards (the paint samples from woodys) to try and find the color that was on the cards (my one was pink) and all of the colors were in different shades and when we got back we made scrolls out of the stuff we
collected.
Week 4 we did paper cut outs like matisse who made paper cut outs.
Week 5 we made our one inks out of blue pea, tumack, green stuff and beaterut.
Week 6 we continued the inks.
Week 7 we started pottery and we got to use two types of clay we made bollas with the white clay and spulchers with the red clay.
Week 8 we painted the white clay but not the red clay.
We do not know if Sheila will come back but we all enjoyed it!
