School Trip to Dáil Eireann and the National Gallery
Our senior classes recently enjoyed a memorable and educational trip to Dublin, visiting both Dáil Éireann and the National Gallery of Ireland.
The day began with a guided tour of Dáil Éireann, where pupils gained a valuable insight into how our country is governed. They explored the chambers of the Oireachtas, learned about the roles of TDs and ministers, and saw first-hand where important national decisions are made.
Following this, we visited the National Gallery of Ireland, where pupils engaged with a wide range of artworks, from classical to modern pieces. The visit encouraged thoughtful discussion and allowed the children to appreciate art in a meaningful and interactive way.
We would like to sincerely thank Peter ‘Chap’ Cleere and Joe Sheridan for facilitating and supporting this trip. Their help ensured that it was an enriching and enjoyable experience for all involved.
